But at the pool or beach, it’s part of the experience for us to get in and out of the water often, and if the towel takes too long to dry it will quickly become heavy, damp and useless. So, beach towels have looser and longer loops that can still quickly dry a surface, but also allow that moisture to dissipate, keeping the towel dryer and more useful for a whole day of use at the beach.
